Tornado triumphant at Wombwell & Rye

Tornado drivers take more silverware

So for the first time this year, the weekends weather actually looked half decent! Our Tornado drivers didn’t disappoint with some fantastic results at Wombwell and Rye House…

Wombwell
With three Tornado drivers on the grid, we were eager to see how they went… and boy, did they go!

Heat 1 – Ben Adrian romped the heat taking fastest lap and crossing the line over SEVEN seconds ahead! Fellow Tornado drivers locked out the podium spots, Zac Starbuck taking P2 and Melissa Adrian taking P3!

Heat 2 – Melissa just missed out on the win by 0.3 seconds, with Ben 0.1 behind her in 3rd. Ben also took fastest lap!!!

Heat 3 – This time Zac takes the win! Ben took the fastest lap!

Final – Tornado drivers LOCKOUT the podium!!!! Ben taking P1 by over EIGHT seconds and taking fastest lap! Melissa crossed in P2 and Zac taking P3.

MEGA, MEGA results guys, we can’t wait to see you out next time!!!

Rye House
With a number of drivers out at our home track, we we’re confident that the Tornado trophy cabinet would have some additions this weekend…

Qualifying – Luca crossed the line in a closely fought contest, but alas a technical issue meant a DSQ. Alfie Mew took 3rd and Harley 4th!

Heat 1 – Alfie Mew took the win! Luca had a stormer from last on the grid to take 4th with Harley having an issue and finishing 5th.

Heat 2 – Harley took the win after sorting his previous issue with Luca showing true grit coming from last on the grid to cross the line 2nd. Alfie was a whisker behind Luca and took 3rd… a Tornado LOCKOUT!,

Final – Harley dominated the Final from P3, taking the lead on the 7th lap and setting the fastest time too! Luca had another stormer from 10th on the grid to cross the line in P3 and Alfie crossed the line in P4. All three Tornado drivers showed their pace!

Well done this weekend guys. Awesome weekend of racing!!!
